022: Creating World Class Student Leadership with Dr. Erica Bauer & Tyler Portis

Better Leaders Better Schools guest Tyler Portis is an honors freshman at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As an undeclared major, he is currently testing the waters of different subjects that interest him.  Tyler's has experienced a great transition into the college world and is involved in multiple organizations on campus; he has been noted several times as a "model freshman" by faculty members across campus.  
Better Leaders Better Schools guest Dr. Erica Bauer is the Director of Student Engagement, helping students lead engaged lives within self, school, and society. She received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication from the University of Dayton. Dr. Bauer went on to earn a doctoral degree in the same field at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with an emphasis in Health Communication in 2010. A post-doctoral fellowship in Health Services Research brought her to Chicago. Her passion for eliminating educational disparities keeps her here. She is thrilled to have an opportunity to do this work at Payton College Prep!
